I know you all keep a close eye on the page rank for your blogs, I have to admit I also look out for it.Google usually update toolbar page rank four times a year so around every three months.Well today we we have noticed a Major page rank update taking place.A number of my sites have seen a page rank change, at the time of writing Spice Up Your Blog is holding steady with a page rank of 5.You can quickly check the page rank of your blog to see if there was any change using our free page rank checker tool. :

Remember updates take place over hours or even days so if yours has not changed yet it may still have to be updated. The last page rank update was in May this year so expect another update before the end of the year.

Any idea of when the latest PR was, o when it should happen? I counted on November 2nd or 4th, and nothing changed in my different websites…

Our page had been at Pr 3 for so long we had not really taken too much notice to previous updates. Although we have now noticed a recent drop to PR 2 for the homepage, and our additional pages dropping from PR 2 to PR 1. Interestingly, this has also coincided with our Alexa ranking falling away and also slipping off the first page for many of our organic search terms. I know most people advise that the PR doesn’t effect the organic search results but a slip in PR ranking seems to have been followed by our loss of first page exposure – we need to do some work to regain our previous standing
