jQuery Animated 360 Degree Sharing Icons For Blogger

This is one of the coolest gadgets i have seen, the effect achieved is five popular share buttons rotating 360 digress and they can all be clicked to share your blog.The effect is created using jQuery and you can use your cursor to control the movement of the share icons.I couldn't explain the look in text so take a look at the demo.

The effect is similar to the animated tag cloud you see on some Blogger blogs, if you hover your cursor to the right the buttons go left and visa-versa.The share gadget has counter buttons for Twitter, Facebook, Dzone, Digg and Reddit.To be honest it hard to not want to click one of the buttons so your posts will defiantly be shared more and social bookmarking can have a big effect on your blog.

This gadget was created by Martin Angelov on Tutorialzine in the post Animated Sharing Bar With jQuery & CSS and although it took a little work to get it to display properly on Blogger i got there in the end.There is three sections of code to be added so make sure your template is backed up in case you make a mistake.And just because there is a lot of code does not make it any harder, if you follow the steps anyone can have the gadget on their blog.

Here we will add the gadget to the bottom of your posts.

The new Google Buzz is the hot way to be social and share links, pictures and pretty much all the things you were already doing on Twitter Or Facebook but from your Google / Gmail account.Google have not yet released a Buzz This gadget like the Tweet This Or Digg This buttons that are so popular on blogs.However the Mashable blog have added their own Buzz This gadget and so can we.

Mashable have not shared the code for their button but just a small bit of work with the image used on Mashable and adding similar code as the Tweet this button means we can put the button on our Blogger blogs.As the Buzz button is new it could be a great way to get people sharing your posts and bring new visitors to your blog.

How To Add The Twitter Counter And Share This Bookmark Buttons To The Top Of Blog Posts

The 'Tweet This' or 'ReTweet' Twitter counter button is the latest 'Must Have' feature on all Blogs.Only a year ago it was the 'Digg This' button that was displayed but they have almost all been replaced.Adding the Twitter Tweet This button to your blog is easy and in this post we will look at how to add it to the top of your blogger posts and the bottom of your blogger posts.

The button can be set to float on the left or right of your posts this allows it to be 'wrapped in text' and fit in nicely as you currently see on this blog.I have the button at the top and bottom of the posts just to make it easy for the readers.

You will notice i also have the 'Share This' button Placed above the Twitter button and i will show you how to add both the Twitter and Share This buttons or just the Twitter button.

The Share This Button opens up a selection of bookmarking options when you place your cursor over it.You can test both buttons above.

Here Is A Preview Of The Buttons :

1. Get To Your Blogs Html

Click 'Layout' ► 'Edit Html' ► Tick The 'Expand Widget Templates' Box

This tutorial shows you how to add the animated 3D social bookmark set 'Sharing Is Caring' to your blog.A very popular post i wrote last November was how to add the 'Sharing Is Sexy' bookmark buttons to your blog.That set of bookmark icons is awesome and the post is still one of the most popular on Spice up your blog.I was contacted last week and asked can the social bookmarks be added without the sharing is sexy message or with a different message, as a reader felt sharing is sexy did not really fit the tone of their blog.

So much traffic in fact, that there is actually a new term called the “Digg Effect” - Digg effect is “the term given to the phenomenon of a popular website linking to a smaller site, causing the smaller site to slow down or even temporarily close due to the increased traffic.
