thanks for the post! I'm writing my blog in second language (English). Even though I think my English isn't bad at all, blogging takes me more time than it would to a native speaker..i check and double check some words, phrases etc and even than I probably have tons of mistakes...especially some small ones like articles, prepositions maybe weird order of words..at least I think those are small mistakes, but are they?

You had lots of good ideas for improving the writing if the writer does not speak English as their first language. I wanted to add that if they practiced 'shadowing' they could improve their English to make it sound much more natural. It takes a couple of months to start to see positive effects from shadowing, but on the other hand, it is a relatively easy task, and you can do it for even just a few minutes a day.
